Tobacco remains king in Mullins. It is home to South Carolina’s largest tobacco market, the annual Golden Leaf Festival and the S.C. Tobacco Museum. This Marion County city was formally established in 1872 and named for Col. William Sidney Mullins, who served in the S.C. Legislature in 1852-66. Today Mullins is home to approximately 5,000 residents.
